Carmel Pecan Bars

I know what you're thinking shouldn't White Chocolate Peanut Butter cups be posted on Sinful Saturday.  Not this Saturday. The moment I mentioned Vegan Mofo to my friend she said "Oh those have to be for Saturday because they are so sinful".  And she's right.  Sinful in an "oh so good" kinda way.

I found the recipe for these bars in my Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar cookbook.  The combo of carmel and pecans sounded fantastic.  These were a bit gooey but Holy Guacamole are these good.

In the batch I made I added a touch of sea salt on the top after they came out of the oven.

I wish I had a few of these bars now.  Worth the splurge.

  1. These bars are seriously magical, and Southerner approved, I'll point out. My best friend of 20 years is not vegan or vegetarian, but she recently got into vegan baking because of the high price of organic eggs and dairy. She made these bars and gave them to her parents-in-law who ADORED them. We're talkin' deeply southern people here. I would serve these bars to anyone!

    1. I love this. I have been sharing my baked goods with work friends and haven't had a complaint yet. These were a HUGE hit. I'd have to agree seriously magical.
