Another Isa and Terry success! Is there anything these two can't do???
I think not. After the success of the
leek and bean cassoulet I wanted to try my hand at another cookie recipe.
I know you are shocked!
Salt & Almonds... Oh my. This was it. I love the addition a sprinkle of salt adds to a sweet treat. The
recipe calls for some oatmeal as well, which in my book makes it healthy. The cookies came out soft and have a little hint of carmel. Not as sweet as other cookies I've made so if you have a friend whose not a big sweets person this may be the ticket.
Do you have a favorite cookie recipe? Care to share?
Mmm, I want these in mah belly now!
ReplyDeleteFavorite cookies are tough. I waver around a lot. Pignoli cookies are pretty high on my list. But I think the caramel filled apple cider cookies I made last year and the compost cookies I am posting tomorrow are easily my favorites.
ReplyDeletedang, those look so good. I've never made that recipe - or even noticed it! shame on me! My favorite cookies are from Dreena Burton. I love her "you got peanut butter in my chocolate cookies," and her "chocolate mint melties," and even just her basic "homestyle chocolate chip cookies." Her recipes are really simple and easy to modify with other extracts, add-ins etc. Mmm, cookies.
