In case you haven't been able to tell from earlier posts I have a never ending sweet tooth. While I do enjoy something a little salty.... sweets are my "downfall".
Earlier this week I posted here and asked if you had a favorite cookie recipe. Amey over at Vegan Eats And Treats mentioned a few from Dreena Burton. I've had Eat Drink And Be Vegan for awhile now but realized I had never made any of her sweets. No time like Vegan MoFo time to try them.
I decided to try the Peanut Butter Chocolate cookies first because they sounded wonderful. I used All Purpose flour as I didn't have any spelt but otherwise I stayed true to the recipe. These cookies aren't to sweet. They are moist, cakey, fudgy, peanut butter little balls of deliciousness.
I knew immediately that these couldn't stay in my house long or I would eat them ALL! The feedback I've gotten so far is "The cookies are to die for".
This recipe makes 10-14 cookies. I like that it isn't a huge batch and I wasn't at the oven putting in tray after tray of cookies. Although with these I might not have minded. If you haven't had them I suggest they get put high on your list of must make cookies.
They look fantastic! Yum!
ReplyDeleteThese cookies look so good. Like all of your cookies! I have a crazy sweet tooth as well, even for fruit. Fruit, cookies, cakes, all of it. Except for candy really...I mean, I LOVE chocolate and vegan caramel is good too (like those insanely good cocomels) but other candy I could live without. Can't wait to see what else you're going to bake up!
