Amazing Inspiration

I was lucky enough to have an amazing, kind, adventurous, strong and loving grandmother.  She died last summer at the age of 102.  Today is the year anniversary of her death.  I learned so much from her and am grateful every day that I had her in my life for such a long time.

When I was little and she came to visit we would go for walks around my neighborhood.  During the walk she would sing to the song "Hello Dolly" but replace it with my name.  Boy did I feel special and loved.

My grandmother was an inspiration to me and in honor of her I wanted to share a few photos.

If any of my grandmother "rubbed" off on me I am truly blessed.  What is your favorite childhood memory of your grandparents?

  1. What a lovely tribute to your lovely grandmother! She was a stunning woman throughout her long life. I especially like the photo of her with your mom and the one of her at 100 (she looked at least 20 years younger than that!) How wonderful that you both were able to enjoy so many years together ~ you must have gathered a lot of beautiful memories.
