As many of you know my love for chocolate knows no bounds. I enjoy making treats for co-workers and when one of them requested
Fudgy Oatmeal Cookies from
Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar I was thrilled and set off to make them.
(side note: I gave a link to the recipe as I didn't have permission to reprint the recipe on my site)

What you have to look forward to |
|
The dry mix |
This recipe has oatmeal in it so it has to be really healthy right?
|
Ready to go on cookie sheet |
You can add walnuts or dried fruit if you wish, optional in the recipe, but for my first batch I decided to be a purist and not
taint dilute the flavor of the chocolate.
|
oven ready |
I thought they were fantastic and couldn't wait to share them with my co-worker.
HUGE hit in the office. I put them out and when a came back a little later they were all gone.
|
Chocolate goodness |
I mean look at that cookie who could blame them. I think the next time I make these I will make 2 batches and try dried cherries in one batch.
I can't wait to make more cookies for
VCIYCJ.

Do you have a favorite cookie or recipe to share?
I hope you kept one for yourself! They look deliciously chocolately.
ReplyDeleteOoooooooo, those look good! Definitely healthy because of the oatmeal, hehe! :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to make these.
ReplyDeleteThose cookies are SO GOOD. Last time I used a tiny bit too much coarse salt and subbed 1/2 the chocolate chips with butterscotch chips. Evilly delicious.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm! I have this cookbook but I just haven't made these ones yet. I will have to now! So good! :) And yes, oatmeal makes them healthy haha :)
ReplyDeleteHow awesome that you are bringing in vegan food for your worker friends!
ReplyDeleteI was going to make these on the weekend but I forgot and now you've reminded me, they look yummy!
