Sinful Cherry Chocolate Chunk Loaf

Hello my name is Galen and I'm addicted to chocolate.  I often think this is how I should start out conversations.  Do you think it would scare people away?  Who doesn't love a rich, decadant, gooey chocolatey dessert.

A few weeks ago I purchased some dried cherries from one of my favorite cooking haunts Surfas.  I didn't know what I was going to make with them but they looked so good I couldn't resist.

I should say I'm not always a fan of the fruit / chocolate combo but the Cherry Chocolate Chunk Loaf looked so amazing I had to make it for myself.  Chocolate base, chocolate chunks and cherries... I wanted some stat.

The recipe is for mini loaves but I decided to make it in a regular loaf pan as I didn't have a pan for mini loaves.  I cooked it for about an hour and then checked it.  If you find it to be really wet when you test it for doneness I would add another 5-7 minutes and check again.

This was a pretty big hit at work and I enjoyed the fruit / chocolate combo.  A great treat for dessert.
