Wicked Wednesday: Banana Bread

Today I'm being really wicked and this is why.... I made this bread awhile back and never blogged about it.  I found the pictures and since I had no time to make something I thought hmmm perfect.

Well kind of perfect.... the truth is I don't even remember whose recipe this was.  Talk about wicked!  What I do remember is I loved it.  It was moist, lots of yummy walnuts in it and the banana flavor was perfect, not underwhelming or overpowering.

I plan on making banana bread again soon if only to figure out which recipe I used or come up with my own.  After all who isn't guilty of having a few to many ripe bananas.

Anyone have a recipe they'd care to share?

  2. Ooh, I like the idea of walnuts, I've never tried that before. There's a couple of banana bread recipes of mine on the Cake liberation Front blog. There's one with rum soaked raisins that's GF and another that uses marmalade, pecans and redbush tea.

    1. OOO rum soaked raisins I like that idea. I've never added marmalade sounds like a great idea! I think I'm going to have to make a few recipes and do a taste off.

  3. My two favorite banana breads are from The Joy of Vegan Baking and How it All Vegan! Both are great. One year for Valentines Day (back in high school) I made my best friend the one from How it All Vegan and she carried the loaf around all day and munched on it and someone else tried it, not knowing it was vegan, and loved it. I also like chocolate chips in mine, but walnuts sound amazing.

    1. I love chocolate chips in banana bread. Well honestly I love them in almost anything. Doesn't it feel great when someone loves something you've made.
