I decided to get an electric ice cream maker and make some vegan ice cream. My first attempt at this. Armed with my copy of Vegan A La Mode I was ready to go. The easy as pumpkin pie recipe sounded perfect.

No cooking required... which was great since the oven and stove were already being used. I whipped together the ingredients, including a few tablespoons of rum. Chilled the mixture for about 15 minutes and then put it in the ice cream maker. When it was complete I transferred it to a freezer container and put it in there for another few hours.

I am really enjoying it. Think it will be heading into work so I don't eat it all.

Do you have a favorite homemade ice cream flavor?
My current favorite flavor of store bought ice cream is cookies n cream from So Delicious, but I always loved anything with cake batter.
